Alex is a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Step 2 Allied Health, bringing over six years experience across disability, education and Positive Behaviour Support in Australia and the UK. Alex holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology, both from Deakin University, Geelong.
Alex's background includes Behaviour Support roles at practitioner and lead levels across Australia and the UK. In the UK, Alex provided practice leadership across a regional portfolio (50+ participants) and supervised a team of PBS practitioners, alongside prior UK experience in supporting behaviour in Special Education Needs (SEN) and mainstream schools. Prior to this, Alex worked as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner in Australia, as well as in Disability Support Work. Alex's approach is person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, with a focus on simple, evidence-based strategies that are least-restrictive and easy for individuals and supporters to apply consistently. Alex works Monday to Friday and can support individuals aged 4 - 65+ across Geelong, the Bellarine, Colac and surrounding areas. |
