Maude is a registered counsellor with 20-plus years’ experience and has specialised in areas related to Alcohol and Drug use, Men’s Behaviour Change programs, group facilitation for Drink Drive, parents and carers of people suffering mental health and drug and alcohol misuse.
Maude studied Welfare at Monash University, completed post-graduate qualifications in Social Science at Swinburne, and Drugs and Alcohol at Turning Point. Maude has qualifications in Management, Disabilities, and Mental Health, and has studied at the William Glasser Institute. She has also completed supervision training at Bouverie Centre. Maude is interested in Neuroscience and how to apply this knowledge to counselling. Maude typically works with older clients and those with complex presentations involving addictions and mental health. Maude integrates a trauma lens into the use of CBT, motivational interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Theory. Specialising in behaviour change, addictions and high prevalence mental health issues that impact on quality of life and function. |
