Behaviour Support Practitioner

Katie is a qualified Social Worker, holding a Bachelor of Social Work from Deakin University, Geelong. She has been working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner since 2023 and has experience working with individuals of all ages and support needs. She takes a thoughtful, calm, and respectful approach to behaviour assessment, planning, and collaboration with clients and their care teams. 

In addition to her experience in Behaviour Support, Katie's background includes working as a Support Coordinator in the Northern Territory, where she gained valuable experience supporting clients to navigate the NDIS across diverse cultural and remote community contexts. 

Her combined personal and professional experiences have shaped her practical, person-centred, and inclusive approach to support. She actively adopts a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach to her professional practice. 

Katie works from Tuesday to Thursday each week, and can work with people of all ages across Colac, Winchelsea, the Surf Coast, and surrounding areas.
